Night Photography – Hong Kong
They do call Hong Kong the city of lights, or something like that. wait, i’ll google it…ok maybe not. Let’s try ‘fragrant harbour’…anyways hong kong has a lot of lights, i hate to think how much electricity is being used daily. if you were living in an apartment facing a big billboard that was lit up, you probably wouldn’t have to switch on your lights….ever.
Good for me, because it is spectacular to shoot and you don’t need to use a flash! hoorah! not like i don’t like my flash, I can’t be bothered carrying it out. they should make more trendy bags that are sturdy to carry heavy cameras, lenses and flashes. but back to the night lights. here are some pics i took on the way to Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) on the Star Ferry and of the historic 1881 buildings. We also went out to Stanley one night and that was fun too, although I did feel a bit car sick after the windy windy roads (not the driving!). Must check it out during the day time, seems like a nice by the sea town.
some weird lighting effects above, but i like the effect that it has on the two boys. im leaving hk soon, heading back to the land of oz. looking forward to coming back to sydney, but I’m also looking forward to coming to HK again which is good. hope you all have a lovely week!!
