Sydney Opera House Open Day 2010
ah opera house. how i have forgotten what you look like inside. I haven’t been back here since I watched The Twelfth Night in Year 10 here. Or was it Macbeth? Who knows. I remember it was violent. Anyways,we went to the annual open day this year just to see what we’ve been missing. The lines were long! all the way back to the restaurants along circular quay, but the lines were moving quite rapidly. It was a bit odd though as we had ‘bought’ tickets on their website (it was free) and then still had to line up anyways with everyone else and they didn’t even check if you had your name down. Anyway, we got in – inside is beautiful! I forget how interesting the shape of the Opera House is, and then you see wonderful structures like below, oh and the view! beautiful! I can’t believe how many people had come out to see this though!!
They even put performances on for us, a bit of opera and backstage ballerina training – it was like being backstage with a lot of other sardines.
This last photo is so funny, i found that drawing back stage – i wonder if it was a disgruntled student who took their feelings out on the wall!
