Sculptures by the Sea 2010
First thing is first, I have my new camera! EEEK!! I picked it up on Saturday from d-d photographics – I justified this purchase by telling myself that since i am going overseas – it was the best idea to buy it now so i could claim the GST at the airport. I am now in the fx club with a brand spanking new D3s. it is so pretty….i unwrapped it and held it to my face – sounds weird. but it was a big leap for me to buy this wonderful, large investment. but hopefully well worth it. I decided to test this baby out and went out to sculptures by the sea the annual event that really signifies the cusp of summer!
Here are some of my favourite photos of the day – no re-touching done what-so-ever – not even cropping! well, that was just lazy on my part. Not the greatest test, because this camera is all about low-light capability – but nevertheless i was impressed!
We then embarked on taking funny photos with the structures, hard not to get other people in the shot since I think the event started this weekend so crowds (and cameras) were in force. First funny photo is an unfortunate paint accident about to occur and the next is the evolution of the perfect human – a woman. ha ha.
thought i might end with one that just reminds me how beautiful sydney is, how breathtakingly beautiful! so much we take for granted here – clean air, blue skies, gorgeous beaches!
sayonara! (next post from Japan!!)
